1. Disbelief in God. This alone can make a person blind, even so perpetually, either here on earth or so in spirit.
   


2. Disbelief in the existence of heaven. In spirit, you are treated according to your knowledge and belief. Because majority only believe what the pastors, prophets and ministers tell them, their belief can be a big hindrance if it is a false or wrong belief.
   


3. Neglect of spiritual science. On the earthly plane, people are everyday busy pursuing money and wealth. They neglect to study, read, discuss or practice spiritual science. At death, such people are spiritually ignorant, and are like babies who cannot help themselves. For such people, death is like putting them in a strange city.
   Even in that strange city, there are so many Angels or guides who are ready and willing to help people out, but majority cannot connect to or communicate with the Angels and Guides. That is one of the meanings of the parable of the wise and foolish virgins.
   The best solution is to study spiritual science. The schools and churches should introduce it in their curriculum and teachings.
